The seminar this week will be about Active Tectonics on Venus: Evidence from Craters, Coronae and Chasmata by Donna Jurdy, a Distinguished Speaker who is also from the International Association of Women Geoscientists. It will take place on Friday, February 29th in Geol. 155 at 4 pm.

This weeks seminar will be the topic of a possible treatment of Wilson's disease using thiomolybdate - Insights from

X-ray absorption spectroscopy. Limei Zhang will be presenting this seminar. It will be held in room Geo. 155 on Friday, February 1st at 4:00pm. I have added a link to give you a background information about this disease. I hope to see you all out at this one.

This week on Thursday, January 18th, at 4:00 pm in room Geol. 155 there will be a seminar held by Jason Brasseur about the calibration of meteorological conditions with tree ring chemistry. It is highly recommended, and will be worth it. See you out there!

There will be another seminar this week according to Dr. Louis Buatois. On Friday, November 30th at 4pm in Geol. 155, the seminar will be given by Karla Panchuk (Penn State), with Andy Ridgwell (University of Bristol) and Lee Kump (Penn State) as coauthors. The title of the talk is: "CSI Paleocene: Suspected perpetrators of the Paleocene-Eocene climate catastrophe and the evidence that might convict them" I hope to see you all there.
