27 février IN LOUNGE PUB There will be an In-Lounge Pub this Friday (Feb. 29th) from 4:30 - 8:30pm in the Ore Gangue Lounge. There will be cheap drinks, pizza, and plenty of fun. So spread the word and we hope to see you all there! 26 février SEMINAR THIS WEEK!!!The seminar this week will be about Active Tectonics on Venus: Evidence from Craters, Coronae and Chasmata by Donna Jurdy, a Distinguished Speaker who is also from the International Association of Women Geoscientists. It will take place on Friday, February 29th in Geol. 155 at 4 pm.
5 février Seminar this Week!!!John Barr (Anglo American) will give a talk for undergraduate and graduate students on the "Role of Geochemistry in Exploration". The talk will be this Thursday at 12:00 in Geol 155. Pizza will be provided for those who participate. 3 février Let's Talk Science VolunteeringThere are a few new things going on and they need volunteers to step in .
1. Geology Workshop at the University (grade 4 students) Monday - February 4th (9.30-11.30) and (12-1.30 pm) Friday - February 8th (9.30-11.30) and (12-1.30 pm) All the activities for this workshop are already designed and ready to go. They only need a few extra hands to help us. No backgroung in geology is required. It's a great opportunity for you to complete your 3 activities and you don't have to leave the university area. 2. Science Fair Judges needed at St. Angela School Thurdsay - March 6th (9-11.45 am) and (12.50 - 3pm) If more information is needed please contact Sanda.
