Devon Meet and Greet

Devon Canada is having a meet and greet with pizza and pop in the Ore Gangue lounge today.   It will likely be from 5 -7. It is an informal mixer/information session.   Try to stop by if you are available!!
 

PhD and MSc Opportunities at Memorial University of Newfoundland

Volunteer's Needed!!!!

There will be a geology workshop this Friday (Feb 1st) at 9.30 am. This will be for University of Saskatchewan Let's Talk Science Partnership Program.  This will consist of 2 activity sessions (9.30-11.30) and (12-1.30pm).  All the activities are already designed and ready to go. We just need some extra hands.  For those who will probably not go to Geochem, this will probably be the best way to redeem yourself or your conscious in doing this.   If there are any questions or confirmations on times please contact Sanda (Site Coordinator) at letstalkscience@usask.ca.  If you are interested please contact her.

Seminar This Week!!

This weeks seminar will be the topic of a possible treatment of Wilson's disease using thiomolybdate - Insights from

X-ray absorption spectroscopy.  Limei Zhang will be presenting this seminar.  It will be held in room Geo. 155 on Friday, February 1st at 4:00pm.  I have added a link to give you a background information about this disease.  I hope to see you all out at this one.

SEMINAR THIS WEEK!!!

There will be a seminar held this week on Friday, January 25th in room Geol. 155 at 4:00 pm.  Ruwandi Andrahennadi will speak about environmental implications of metals/metalloids in arthropods.  I hope to see you all out there.

Seminar this Week!!!

This week on Thursday, January 18th, at 4:00 pm in room Geol. 155 there will be a seminar held by Jason Brasseur about the calibration of meteorological conditions with tree ring chemistry.  It is highly recommended, and will be worth it.  See you out there!

HELIUM IN-LOUNGE PUB

Helium In-Lounge Pub will be held this Friday, January 11th in the Ore Gangue Lounge from 4:30-8:30pm.  Drinks will be available for everyone, and friends are more than welcome to be invited.  This will be a great time to break into the new year with a bang.  I hope to see you all there.

APEX Geoscience Interviews

Rob L'Heureux from APEX Geoscience (Edmonton) will be at the U of S on Thursday, January 17th to interview any students that are interested in employment with their company.  There will be a sign up sheet in the general office.  Interviews will start at 11:00 am in 30 minute time slots.
